No classroom, no fans: inside a rural government school in Haryana

Nearly half of all sanctioned teaching posts in Nuh’s government schools are vacant. Twenty-nine schools have no regular teacher, while 87 have just one. The district also has Haryana’s highest elementary dropout rate, at 12.84%.
