Privacy policy

This policy explains what information नभ 24 (Nabh24) at nabh24.com collects when you read our news, why we collect it and what choices you have. We do not ask you to create an account and we do not sell personal data.

What we collect automatically

When you open a page, our own analytics system (running on our server, not a third-party tracker) records:

• the page address you opened and the website that sent you here (for example Google or WhatsApp), if your browser shares it;
• your device and browser type, screen size, browser language and time zone;
• your IP address, and an approximate location (city, region, country) worked out from it using the DB-IP database on our own server;
• a random visitor ID and session ID stored in your browser — these do not contain your name or contact details;
• words you type into our site search, so we can improve search results;
• when you click a link to another website, the name of that website.

We do not collect your name, phone number or e-mail address unless you choose to write to us.

Why we use it

• To count readers and see which stories, sections and states are read the most.
• To find and fix errors and keep the site fast and working.
• To protect the site from abuse, spam and attacks.

How long we keep it

Visit records are kept to compare readership over time. IP addresses are removed from visit records automatically after 180 days. Location look-ups are cleared after 30 days.

Stored in your browser

We store a few small items in your browser’s local storage: the random visitor ID, your light/dark theme choice and your chosen city for weather. You can delete them any time by clearing your browser’s site data. We do not set advertising cookies of our own.

Services from other companies

Some parts of our pages load from other companies, which may receive your IP address and browser details under their own privacy policies:

• Google — Google News / Reader Revenue Manager (helps readers follow Nabh24 on Google), Google Fonts. See Google’s privacy policy.
• YouTube (privacy-enhanced mode) — only when a story contains a video.
• Open-Meteo — weather for the city you choose.
• cdnjs (Cloudflare) — icon fonts.
• Other publishers — some headlines link to the original story on the publisher’s website; their policies apply there.

Advertisements on Nabh24 are currently booked directly with advertisers and shown from our own server. If we start using an advertising network (such as Google AdSense) that uses cookies, we will update this policy before doing so.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We share it only if Indian law requires us to (for example a lawful order from a court or government authority).

Security

Our data is stored on our hosting server outside the public website folder. Only authorised members of the Nabh24 team can access the admin area, each with their own password.

Children

Nabh24 is a general news website and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information about children.

Your choices and requests

• You can read every story without giving us any personal information.
• You can block or clear local storage in your browser settings.
