Kher explores loneliness; stardom stays off his shoulders

Anupam Kher says he avoids the loneliness of stardom by living a normal life instead of in an “ivory tower.” The 71-year-old actor is touring the US and Canada with his first musical, “Jaane Pehchaane Anjaane,” which explores loneliness across three generations, and has won warm audience responses.
